Why Sippinpurpp deserves way more recognition.

From the very beginning of his career, Sippinpurpp has always made waves. Long before gaining the recognition he earns today, the Ovar-born artist stood out not only for his music but also for the way he expressed himself outside of it - with crazy hairstyles, fearless attitude, and a unique aesthetic that challenged norms and expectations.

Since the early days of Avião” and “No Neu Copo”, he faced heavy criticism and skepticism from the industry. Yet the truth remains: Sippinpurpp is one of the true pioneers and OGs of the trap scene in Portugal.

With the explosive success of “Sauce” in 2018, he went viral and found himself under the spotlight - praised by some, criticized by others. Still, he never lost focus. He stayed true to his sound and vision. Tracks like “1001 Jogos” showcase his ability to respond to criticism with confidence and authenticity.

And the fact is undeniable - Sippinpurpp has a strong catalog of hits, from “Sauce” to “Fato de Treino do City”, along with many others that became anthems for a new generation of portuguese trap community. Each release solidified his position as one of the most influential names in the scene.

With firm convictions and a distinct artistic identity, he became a reference point for portuguese trap, proudly carrying the flag of the culture. He was also part of the legendary Think Music collective - a label that left an unforgettable mark on Portugal’s underground scene.

More recently, he has embraced a new sound - the “Glo style”, inspired by the prime Chief Keef era - once again proving his versatility and forward-thinking approach. His collaboration with a spanish artist further highlights his international mindset and ambition to reach beyond borders.

Outside of music, Sippinpurpp is also a cultural figure in his own right. He has walked for renowned portuguese fashion designer Alexandra Moura and participated in a campaign for his hometown club, Ovarense, showing both his creative vision and pride in his roots.

Authentic, provocative, and pioneering, Sippinpurpp is far more than just a name in trap -he’s a symbol of creative freedom, resilience, and the bold attitude that defines the new generation of portuguese music. The new generations have a role model in him.
